Why We Need To Develop Character!

I’m so excited about this new six week series! For many years I’ve been teaching principles and trying to motivate people to get involved in the plan that God has for them. During this time, I’ve been the one who’s learned a lesson or two.
The lesson I’ve learned, is very little can happen on the outside of a person’s life, if the inside hasn’t been changed! People need to “BE” before they will be able to “DO!” What needs to happen in a person’s life, for change to occur, is for character to be developed.
I’ve personally seen hundreds, if not thousands of people with good intentions, about changing their lives. They fall, as victims, back into their old way of life, and become more discouraged than they were before the change began. Therefore, my plan is to put a stop to this, and in these next six weeks, work on a new plan. The plan is to establish an understanding of what godly character is, how important it is to receive this and how to get it activated in your life. This won’t be for the faint of heart, depending on the character that’s now present in your life. This could be the most challenging six weeks you’ve ever experienced.
Our heavenly Father uses physical things in this world to show us what the nature of man is like. The one area we’re going to be looking at these next six weeks, is the tree. A tree has roots, a trunk for strength and character, and branches for bearing fruit. The amazing message that our Lord has for us, is that no matter what kind of tree we are right now, we can be changed!
