I’m so excited about this new six week series! For many years I’ve been teaching principles and trying to motivate people to get involved in the plan that God has for them. During this time, I’ve been the one who’s learned a lesson or two.

The lesson I’ve learned, is very little can happen on the outside of a person’s life, if the inside hasn’t been changed! People need to “BE” before they will be able to “DO!” What needs to happen in a person’s life, for change to occur, is for character to be developed.

I’ve personally seen hundreds, if not thousands of people with good intentions, about changing their lives. They fall, as victims, back into their old way of life, and become more discouraged than they were before the change began. Therefore, my plan is to put a stop to this, and in these next six weeks, work on a new plan. The plan is to establish an understanding of what godly character is, how important it is to receive this and how to get it activated in your life. This won’t be for the faint of heart, depending on the character that’s now present in your life. This could be the most challenging six weeks you’ve ever experienced.

Our heavenly Father uses physical things in this world to show us what the nature of man is like. The one area we’re going to be looking at these next six weeks, is the tree. A tree has roots, a trunk for strength and character, and branches for bearing fruit. The amazing message that our Lord has for us, is that no matter what kind of tree we are right now, we can be changed!

There’s something special inside each one of you. Everyone has been specially made for a specific purpose in life. I want to give you a key that can be used to ignite your future. It’s a key that’s been used by many successful people in the past and will continue to be used by many in the future, so you might as well be using it too.

There’s no substitute for this key and the key is ENTHUSIASM. It produces energy in everything you do, and the neat thing about being enthusiastic is that it also helps to energize the people around you.

Charles Schwab has commented that “People can succeed at almost anything for which they have enthusiasm.” We cannot win if we don’t begin, and at the beginning of anything worth having or doing we need to generate an enthusiasm for it. Enthusiasm helps us to act our way into feeling, and this is the effect of this key, it gets us doing things we don’t feel like doing, and soon the feelings will come, and we will start to feel like doing it.

If you want to be enthusiastic, you need to start acting that way. If you wait for the feeling before acting, you may never become enthusiastic enough to do the things you need to do.
