The basic concepts we’re searching out in this series, “Achieving Everything You’ve Always Wanted,” come from the oldest source known to man, the Bible. As gold miners search for gold, we’ll be searching for understanding, on how we can transform our thinking. This will help us realize, we are the most powerful, successful, potential filled people in all of God’s creation.

The prophet David said, “As one thinks in his heart so is he.” This isn’t an untested theory, or one man’s opinion, but a proven approach to life’s situations. If followed, it will allow a person to achieve the highest level of what life has to offer.

This week I would like to give you some insight on the number one destroyer of dreams and goals, our fear. Fear is real and it does exist. Fear is success enemy number one. It stops people from capitalizing on their dreams and opportunities. Our fears will wear us down physically, make us sick, shorten our lives and keep us from saying what needs to be said. Fear and lack of confidence explains why we still have economic recessions. This explains why millions of people accomplish little and find little enjoyment.

Fear is a powerful force that keeps people from getting what they want in life. I want to tell you how to overcome fear, but first I need to say, nobody is born fearful or lacks confidence. These are all learned emotions we’ve acquired from our experiences. The neat thing about this is, if fear is learned, it can be unlearned.

The cure for fear is action. You overcome fear by doing what you’re afraid of. This sounds too simple, I know, but it’s true. I have a fear of going to the top of a high ladder. This was caused by a fall back in 1997, breaking my heal and leaving me with eight screws in the heal. When I need to get up on a high ladder, it’s hard for me the first time up. After I put action behind my fear, a couple times later, I develop confidence and don’t even think about falling.

It’s true, ACTION is what’s needed to cure your fears!

I am excited about this week and the things we are going to be talking about, because they have been life changing for me and they can be for you too. So many times we get excited about life and the dreams associated with it only to have them fall apart due to an issue we have.

We struggle and struggle to find out just what it could be, but many times we just don’t see it. What I am hoping to do, is to possibly expose an issue many have, that will keep them from ever reaching the dreams and goals they have for their lives. It’s so sad to watch this struggle in people and it’s my hope that I can help some of you to be free of this. To tell you just what it is, in the best possible way that I know, this destroyer in life is unresolved anger. You can’t see it all the time, it only shows it’s face some of the time, but where ever it goes, destruction follows.

Unresolved anger will keep people from getting close to you, it will keep you from being spiritually motivated, it will cause you to lose value in yourself and will put a freeze on your maturity level. Unresolved anger is caused by hurt, frustration and fear, and not knowing how to deal with it at the time it occurs. Good parents will help their children deal with hurt, frustration and fear, so that it doesn’t become unresolved anger, but many times we don’t have that type of help and we don’t know how to deal with these bad situations.

Now you are going to know, because I am going to tell you, the key to resolving anger is forgiveness, it’s getting yourself in a position to truly forgive anyone who might have been at fault for your hurt, frustration and fear. This is the key to setting you free, to go after your dreams and goals, with peace in your mind.

It’s an exciting run at life we have and I hope that you can freely live it to the fullest!
